Advanced Light Materials

Carbon Foam

Carbon foams have an interconnected three-dimensional cellular network, mainly synthesize by using polymer foams as templates and thermosetting resin as carbon source. Carbon foam gives many desirable characteristics, such as lightweight, adjustable thermal and electrical conductivity, high temperature tolerance and impact dampening properties.

Applications in field of Energy storage, Absorbents, Insulation, Sensors.

Graphene Foam

Graphene foam have an interconnected three-dimensional cellular network. High energy density multi-layer graphene impregnated with existing Carbon foam for development of high specific energy density graphene foam. These foams have variable pore size, density and can be machined.

Graphene foams applications in the field of thermal management materials, sensors, energy storage devices, and in purification and absorption materials

Graphite Foam

Graphite foam have an interconnected three-dimensional cellular network. Graphite powder impregnated with existing Carbon foam for development of graphite foam. These graphite foams are unique and gives many desirable characteristics, lightweight graphite material with a very high thermal conductivity that effectively transfers energy, electrical conductivity, and large specific surface area. These foams are chemically inert, have a variable pore size and density.

Applications in the area of Energy storage system, super capacitors, and electronic package cooling, heat sink and exchangers.

Open Cell Aluminium Foam

A rigid, three-dimensional network of linked Aluminium ligaments known as Aluminum foam is made up of cells with open pores. Aluminium foam typically retain some of their base material’s physical characteristics. These foams have typical characteristics such as, lightweight, high strength-to-weight ratio, customizable strength, and high surface area-to-volume.

These foams are widely applicable in the area of, energy storage devices, as a structural component, in the thermal applications and in the filtration and media separator.

Close Cell Aluminium Foam

Aluminium metal foam, an isotropic, porous aluminium material with a cellular structure and exceptional mechanical and physical capabilities at a very low density. Closed-cell metal foams are widely offered as a lightweight structural material since they are rigid, light and primarily employed as impact-absorbing materials.

Close Cell Aluminium foams are widely applicable in the area of aerospace industry, space industry, and Machine industry: Reinforcement element, mechanical damping, and vibrational control.
